Webscan Unveils 2D Bar Code Verification Software
(Brentwood, NY) Webscan, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of new 2D bar code verification software for the TruCheck Bar Code Verifier. The software package includes the ability to verify PDF417 and Micro PDF417 symbologies. All existing TruCheck systems can be factory upgraded with the new capabilities. TruCheck is the first hands-free verifier to operate on both conventional linear codes (UPC, EAN, 128, Code 39, etc…) and 2D symbologies.
TruCheck technology offers automatic 10 scan ANSI grading of bar codes with just the touch of a button. A moving laser beam that covers the code from top-to-bottom automatically achieves the 10 scans. Because the operator is removed from the verification process results are extremely accurate and repeatable. Print outs are also automatically generated. The entire process takes only a few seconds! TruCheck brings a whole new level of user-friendliness to bar code verification.
The TruCheck system complies with ANSI X3.182-1990 methodology and is calibrated using standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Each and every scan is processed for full ANSI analysis, including all scan reflectance parameters. TruCheck offers ease-of-use and accuracy never before available in a bar code verifier.
